News flash Africanized Bee Attack in Texas. The high was a hundred feet long and had tens of millions of bees thats feud fire like dragons beginning an apocalypse so grab your water, bug out bags and Monsanto insecticides and head for the hills.

Folks let’s get a grip and constantly keep in mind that fear drives our economy. Bee’s kill, alligators kill, wolves kill, rhinos kill, sharks kill, politicians kill, Ebolas coming, oxygen also has done its fair share. Lets focus on reality before all the fear mongering encourages the masses to go out and buy monsanto pesticides to kill off this creature that provides man the life and means to kill it off. Consider mans invented killers (africanized Bee’s I’m not going to touch on why they are call AFRICANIZED for fear enhancement, it’s like Europeans calling our imported GMO soy Americanized) bees kill barely 40 people a year while cardiovascular diseases kill 17 MILLION per year. Is anyone making a cheeseiside to kill off the cheese killing off the planets humans? The question also is if this is some new great threat or apocalypse or if this like most tragedies happened alot in the past but now with mass media we hear about it more. If these “africanized” bees with zulus spears and their vampire like thirst for blood are anything to truly fear enough to respond to? The facts are man created this creature playing with technology he can’t control like pesticides from a European and African bee. Two species that would never have met yet they get the angst not the foolish making more monster in unregulated in labs today.  Outside of being a great example of man’s misuse of technology these bee’s still does far more good than harm for the environment unlike modern society.

News is entertainment based and unfortunately now entertaining propaganda is destroying our environment through fear. And I’m not judging because as a child I’ve killed bees from fear but as an adult who can read and write(at least above a 9th grade education) I now rather run away then kill more bees when I’m cutting the grass the mower disturbs them. I simply just walk away(or run and scream based on urgency) and cut the grass later without blasting them is pesticide. For the first time in my life I had a one inch bee crawl up my arm after John the beekeeper rescued him in the shop this winter. I call him the bee whisperer because he makes it obvious through his demonstrations that bees are not out to kill and don’t fly around with attitudes. If dogs are bees than the africanized bee if the pitbull. Curious what all the bad propaganda fear has done to them? Just stop by most SPCA’s and find them full of almost exclusively pitt bulls. How about we stop demonizing not just the bee but all animals?

Now we know and learn more everyday that these animals have far more intelligence than what we ever gave them credit for we should have more restraint than condemnation.Just think now we have humans living with bears, swimming with alligators, petting sharks, etc and they all say the same truths. That we are not these creatures natural food and they are not out to kill us unprovoked or starved. We happen upon them at the wrong time or don’t read/know the signs and they respond to the humans seeming attack. Like a canine that’s domesticated there are still times you approach and times you do not. And that spending a little time with each species man can pretty much learn to read their body language and identify their warnings. To understand which alligators you can pet and which to stay out of the water with. It boggles the mind how we as a society love dogs and yet hate/fear their cousins.

Anyhow I won’t ramble on about the latest unfortunate tragedy I would just prefer we not take one tragedy and start another in the form of a escalated the apocalypse against the bee. My fear is not in bees but in the guys that watches the news report and be reminded by the Beehive by his shed and head to destroy it fearing they are africanized bees plotting against him. Instead go pick up the picnic table and move it further from the shed to give those bees a little space. And as always plant and marigold and zinnias to keep them happily buzzing around making food for us. Now I figure it was a great time to post an amazing photo of a beautiful bee and butterfly engage in conversation by Tom.
